NEW SWIMMING POOL OPENED

The Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital – Banja Koviljaca, complemented its project called THE ART OF HEALTH AND BEAUTY with new OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL within the WELLNESS CENTER  “KOVILJE“ which is the part of our institution.

 

The program of ceremonial opening of this pool was organized on September 12, 2009. The priests from the St.Petar and Pavle church, from Banja Koviljaca, sanctified the swimming pool. Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, the General Manager of the Hospital and Mrs Branka Bosnjak, the architect who designed the swimming pool, spoke to the audience and to the employed. The employed that were present at the ceremony, by throwing flower petals, symbolically set the new outdoor pool into the work. The appropriate cultural and art program was preformed, in which the following participants took part:  a church choir called “Sabor srpskih svetitelja“ from Banja Koviljaca, with its conductor Zoran Kokanovic, and a singing group “Karadzic“ with Prof. Milutin Tosic.

 

The gathering continued at the Kula, with food and drink, and with appropriate program designed for this occasion and in which the following participants took part: the folk group and orchestra “Karadzic“, fashion company “Gani“, music group “Vozd“ and “Trio balkanske zice“.

 

2th SERBIAN HUNGARIAN BALNEOLOGY CONFERENCE

II Serbian Hungarian Balneology Conference was held in the Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital, Banja Koviljaca from September 11 to 13, organized by the Association of Balneoclimatologists of Serbia and the Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital – Banja Koviljaca, supported by the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology (ISMH). The experts from Hungary, Turkey, the USA, France and Serbia all took part in it.

 

Particular mark was given by the presence of the President and the First Vice President of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology (Prof. Dr. Zeki Karagulle and Prof. Dr. Tomas Bender), as well as the presence of the professors of the Medical School in Belgrade, with the Cathedra for Balneoclimatology, Prof. Dr. Tomislav Jovanovic and Prof. Dr. Gordana Popovic.

6th INTERNATIONAL REVUE OF DOCUMENTARY AND ETHNIC FILM "ALEKSANDAR-SAŠA PETROVIĆ"

The “Aleksandar – Saša Petrović“ 6th International Revue of Documentary and Ethnic Film, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia was held in the Specialized Hospital - Banja Koviljača from August 7 – 9, 2009.

 

There were participants from abroad: Tomi Mendel (Switzerland), Pavla Rakovska (Bulgaria), Nadja Velentiničić-Furlan (Slovenia), Anita Djordjieska (Macedonia) and Milovan Pandurević (Bosnia and Herzegovina, The Republic of Srpska), Atsuko Toda (Japan), and from Serbia: Zdenka Tomic, Tamara Popov, Dobrila and Dobrivoje Pantelic, Svetlana Miljanic and Vladimir Petrovic.

 

As the part of the ceremonious opening of the revue, in the name of the host and the organizer of the revue - the Specialized Hospital - Banja Koviljaca, Dr. Snezana Pantic–Aksentijevic, the President of the Board of the Hospital, welcomed the guests. Mr. Bozidar Zecevic, reviewer and theorist, gave the speech about the work of Aleksandar-Sasa Petrovic. Mrs. Milica Kuzmanovic - Jankovic, the Head of the Department for Art Work and Cultural Industry of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, opened the revue. Mr. Ilija Milinovic, the member of music group “Ozarje”, complemented the artistic spirit of the ceremony. The film “Three” of Aleksandar-Sasa Petrovic was played at the end of the ceremony.

 

“The audio-visualization in museum exhibitions”, Mrs. Nadja Valentincic-Furlan’s audio-visual presentation, was organized at the round-table.

 

Fifteen films made by participants of the review were presented during the “Aleksandar-Sasa Petrovic” 6th International Review of Documentary and Ethnic Film: “Dolphins: In Memoriam” and “Forest Forever” by Pavla Rakovska; “Walking Pilgrims” and “Bunong’s Birth Practices” by Tomi Mendel; “Čupa, the Vessel of the Slovene Fishermen” and “They Call Me Remenkaš” by Nadja Valentincic-Furlan; “Over There, Up in Mountains” and “Wedding in Kokin Place” by Anita Djordjieska; “Letters to Ivan” and “Why Didn’t Boro Leave” by Milovan Pandurevic; “Eleven Span Pan Pipe” by Zdenka Tomic; “Devil’s Dance” by Tamara Popov; “Promotion for Assembling” by Svetlana Miljanic; “Dobrosav” by Dobrivoje and Dobrila Pantelic; “Draw-wells, Islands” by Vladimir Perovic. There was also video-beam presentation of photos, made by Atsuko Toda during making movie “Walking Pilgrims”.

 

Dr. Gordana Mihajlov, the Manager of the Wellness Center “Kovilje” and Marketing Service of the Specialized Hospital “Banja Koviljaca”, handed the plaquettes of the Specialized Hospital - Banja Kovljaca to the participants of the revue at the closing ceremony. Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, General Manager of the Specialized Hospital - Banja Koviljaca spoke to the guests and officially closed the revue. Mr. Ilija Milinovic, the member of music group “Ozarje”, complemented this evening, too, with his instrumental playing.

 

 

CEREMONY OF OPENING RENEWED SULPHURIC POOL – May 1st, 2009

As traditionally, on May 1st, 2009, Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, presented something new. This year, it has been renewed sulphuric pool in King Petar I Karadjordjevic’s bath building.

 

It was all day long happening this time, too. Celebration started with professional meeting, with subject: Postmenopausal Osteoporosis, presented by Prof.dr. Nada Pilipovic and associate scientist Dr.sci.med. Slobodan Brankovic.

 

At ceremony of opening renewed sulphuric pool, General Manager of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca - Dr.Nikola Sremcevic; vice mayor of Loznica town - Mr. Petar Ekmescic, architect - Mrs. Branka Bosnjak and president of Sacen International - Mr. Dragan Gligorijevic spoke to the attendants. Then, the priests from Banja Koviljaca and Loznica, led by bishop of Sabac Mr. Lavrentije, sanctified the space of renewed pool. Particular mark to artistic part of this happening was given by Pavle Aksentijevic and musical group “Zapis“.

 

Acknowledges did not lack this time, too. For unselfish support during 50 years of work on enhancement and development of tourism, Sacen International awarded GOLDEN CHARTER FOR THE PARTNER AND THE HOUSE OF THE HEALTH OF THE YEAR 2009 and A CORKSCREW TO THE HOUSE OF THE HEALTH OF THE YEAR 2009 to our institution, Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, and we also got “White Angel” icon.

 

In the following program, at Kula, the project named “Serbian Middle age dining table” was promoted for the first time. Namely, the team of experts of Tertiary Health School from Belgrade, Nutritionist and dietetics group, under supervision of  Prof.Dr.Momcilo Spremic, tried to reconstruct several meals which may be considered as authentic for Middle age Serbia. All attendants had an opportunity to eat: prunes with cheese, polished barley desert, millet with mushrooms, kimovacha etc. The concert of Pavle Aksentijevic and ”Zapis” and music performed by Branko Prazic, ”spiced” the artistic part of the program.

 

Friendly meeting lasted until late in the evening, with rich entertainment.

 

It was one more happening at Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation that will never been forgot.....

 

 

 

MISA ANASTASIJEVIC CHARTER FOR CONTRIBUTION TO DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES

Regional Chamber of Commerce in Valjevo, in cooperation with Media Invent from Novi Sad, awarded Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation “Banja Koviljaca” with CHARTER – CAPTAIN MISA ANASTASIJEVIC for CONTRIBUTION TO DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES. Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, General Manager of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation, received the charter in the name of the institution, at the ceremony on March 24, 2009, on Divcibari Mountain.

 

In the message text of the award, the following has been written: ”Do you know the message of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation? "At our place, one single day in a year has not been lost.” It is said with complete right because Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation continuously goes up, in health profession as well as in development of tourism of Banja Koviljaca in general. This rehabilitation center has more than 400 beds, of which more that 200 are in market offer which proves remarkable enterprising initiative and innovative approach in development of tourism, advocated by General Manager – Dr. Nikola Sremcevic and his managing team. Beside the health tourism, visitors are offered sport-recreation, cultural-manifestation, and congress and excursion tourism. And one more fact: for the last eight years, accommodation capacity increased 40%, and the center is categorized in the first four in Serbia, with the largest number of foreign guests. In that way, award CAPTAIN MISA ANASTASIJEVIC for contribution to development of health services goes to right place.

 

MISA ANASTASIJEVIC CHARTER for CONTRIBUTION TO DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH SERVICE is a great acknowledge, but also a commitment for all who are employed in Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, to continue further promotion and enrichment of our offer and work.

 

 

 

OPENING POOL AND FITNESS IN WELLNESS CENTER ”KOVILJE” – June 1, 2008

Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca enriched its project THE ART OF HEALTH AND BEAUTY with new POOL and FITNESS CENTER as a part of WELLNESS center ” K O V I L J E ”.

 

The program of opening ceremony was organized on June 1, 2008. Mr. Vlada Ilic, State Secretary for Employment with Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbian Government, Mrs. Nata Ciric, independent counselor for Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbian Government, sector for tourism, and Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, General Manager of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, spoke to the attendants at Banja's Kula. An artistic program was preformed, with harpsichordist Smiljka Isakovic, Andrija Sagic, percussion and music group ”Ozarje”.

 

A priest Dragan Spasojevic with priesthood of St.Peter and Pavle Church from Banja Koviljaca and the priest from Loznica, sanctified the pool. Dr.Gordana Mihajlov, assistant manager, welcomed all attendants under the dome of King Petar I Karadjordjevic's bath building. The pool was officially opened by cutting the ribbon by Mr. Vlada Ilic, State Secretary for Employment with Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Serbian Government, and Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, General Manager of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca. Children choir ”St. Sava” from Loznica, with conductor Prof.dr. Dragan Djedovic, with its program magnified opening ceremony.

 

In several hours of the artistic program, at Banja's Kula, several performers took part: children choir “St.Sava” from Loznica, harpsichordist Ms Smiljka Isakovic and Andrija Sagic, percussion; music group “Ozarje”, folk dance and sing section of Cultural Artistic Society Karadzic; fashion company “Gani”; St.George's royal string players, ”Vozd” band.

 

 

 


NG OF WELLNESS CENTER “KOVILJE” – May 1st, 2007

Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation enriched its project THE ART OF HEALTH AND BEAUTY, with new wellness center – one of the most modern centers of the kind in Western Serbia.

 

Opening ceremony of wellness center was held on May 1st, 2007, with appropriate cultural-artistic program.

 

 

AWARDING HACCP STANDARD – September 9, 2008

Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca made one more step in order to ensure quality of services. It decided to officially verify and maintain high level of health correctness of food and started activities necessary for getting HACCP Standard.

 

All employed in Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, and particularly food service, gave their contribution to food which this institution offers to be brand, to reach it through its health correctness and quality, and that human factor plays crucial role.

 

Ceremony of awarding HACCP Standard certificate was held on Tuesday, September 9, 2009, and Mr. Djordje Radoje, General Manager of Certification and the Leader of the Project and Mr. Ilias Papgeorgiu, Head Leader of Certification Authority spoke to the attendants.

 

AWARDING ISO CERTIFICATES

At ceremony held on March 16, 2007, ISO Certificate 9001 was awarded to Dr. Nikola Sremcevic, General Manager of Specialized Hospital for Rehabilitation - Banja Koviljaca, so our institution functions officially by principles of management, with quality coordinated with requirements of ISO 9001 Standards from year 2000, and provides services in diagnostics, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of posttraumatic, orthopedic, neurological and rheumatologic states, in children and adults and services in tourism.
